What we collect
Server logs. Hosting software jots down the visiting address, the browser it reported, which URL was asked for and when. Those entries help us trace faults and turn away abusive traffic, then let them expire after a limited period.
Two first-party cookies. Every page sets a random visitor ID and a tag for how you reached us (search results, a referring page, or straight from the address bar). With them we tally readers and learn which articles people enter through. Details are in the cookies policy.
Your messages. An email to the editors is kept, with the address it came from, until the question is dealt with.
You will find no logins, mailing lists, comment boxes or ad trackers here, and no card or bank details ever reach us.
Clicks on casino buttons
Buttons that go through a /go/ address pass you to an operator with a referral reference so that the operator can credit us for the visit. Two short-lived cookies are set for that hop. The casino never gets your name or inbox address from us. Whatever it gathers after you arrive falls under the casino’s rules, not ours.
Who else sees data
Just our hosting and delivery providers, who handle it strictly on our instructions. Personal details are never sold, leased or swapped. A court order or statutory request is the sole route by which police or regulators could obtain it.
Where data is held
%(co)s is registered in Gibraltar and the servers sit outside New Zealand, so information may be processed overseas. We keep it to the same standard wherever it sits.
Your rights
New Zealand’s Privacy Act lets you find out which details about you sit on our systems and have mistakes fixed. Email [email protected] and we will reply. Still dissatisfied after our reply? New Zealand’s Privacy Commissioner takes complaints of this kind.
Children
Minors are not our audience, and nothing on the site is built to gather details from minors.

Any revision moves the “Updated” stamp at the top. Whatever text appears above is what currently applies.
